AN INVITATION BY JOY JONES, POETRY WORKSHOP LEADER
LENS, PENS, BRUSHES & FRIENDS PROGRAM
ST. ELIZABETHS HOSPITAL

We know that people learn, heal, and grow in different ways. One of the most powerful ways is through artistic expression. I’ve had the privilege of applying my artistic skills in the therapeutic milieu at St. Elizabeths Hospital in Washington, DC. This project, Lens, Pens, Brushes & Friends, is documented in the film Lens & Pens: Art In An Unexpected Place.

Do you wonder about how to establish an arts program for your clients? Could your treatment facility benefit from the addition of a creative expression modality? Do you need suggestions on how to augment services without increasing costs? You can find answers and ideas from watching Lens & Pens.

It’s been a satisfying adventure for me and a productive journey for my patients. See what it can do for you.
